This study compared and contrasted the livestock export standards applied in all countries that participate significantly in the livestock export trade. The study was undertaken for benchmarking of livestock export standards. The report found there are no formal systems in place in other countries that would add significantly to the effectiveness of the Australian livestock export standards and from this point of view, our standards should be considered ‘high quality’ and not requiring immediate or drastic revision.
