This study assessed the management practices of pregnant dairy cattle on vessels exported from Australia.

This study assessed the management practices of pregnant dairy cattle on vessels exported from Australia. The report outlines key recommendations of best practice management for pregnant dairy cattle that include; reduced stocking densities, seasonal restrictions and ensuring that animals are not greater than 6 months gestation at the time of departure. This recommendation is reflected in ASEL (version 2.3).
