The aim of this project was to recommend values for respiratory exchange and heat production of deer and goats that are appropriate for use in a project aimed at determining the ventilation requirements during transport via aircraft.

The aim of this project was to recommend values for respiratory exchange and heat production of deer and goats that are appropriate for use in a project aimed at determining the ventilation requirements during transport via aircraft. A literature search was conducted and recommendations made for carbon dioxide production, oxygen consumption, heat production, evaporative water loss and loss of water in urine and faeces for various sexes of goats and deer of various physiological states.
