This report presents a review of the literature associated with feedlot induction in the Middle East region with specific reference to inanition in sheep and cattle in hot climates.

This report presents a review of the literature associated with feedlot induction in the Middle East region with specific reference to inanition in sheep and cattle in hot climates. Based on consultation with industry stakeholders and the review of literature, ‘best practice’ guidelines for (post-discharge) feedlot induction procedures and recommendations for future research, development and education are presented.
