This project aimed to understand the effects of stress in transported cattle and attempted to minimise those effects by the use of novel oral supplements, fed prior to transportation.

This project aimed to understand the effects of stress in transported cattle and attempted to minimise those effects by the use of novel oral supplements, fed prior to transportation. The report outlined new techniques for investigating the physiological responses of cattle to stress and quantified some of the physiological responses of cattle to transportation and handing stress and indentified a novel prophylactic treatment that may aid in reducing the effects of stress in cattle.
