In this study, the management of bedding on livestock export ships was reviewed and current practices were evaluated against existing literature from the intensive dairy, beef and equine industries and recommendations and guidelines for the management of bedding for cattle and sheep during the export of livestock by sea were developed. The report also identifies areas where further research, development and extension opportunities exist.
