This report provides findings from a pilot study involving collection and information from consignments of cattle on export vessels travelling from Darwin to Indonesia. The study was designed to test assumptions and methodologies for data collection in order to determine the feasibility of a subsequent larger study. The report details the findings of two voyages and a range of factors important in the design of a larger project.
