The main objective of this project was the continuous improvement of the design of cattle equipment suitable for the slaughter of Australian cattle in overseas markets.

The main objective of this project was the continuous improvement of the design of cattle equipment suitable for the slaughter of Australian cattle in overseas markets. The Mark 3 restraining box is different from the earlier boxes (Mark 1 and 2) and is designed to lift the animal in a smooth sided, ‘v-shaped’ restraint. The report details the design of the developed box, tested via computer modelling and recommends comment and scrutiny is sought from industry prior to fabrication.
