LiveCorp through the Livestock Export Program (LEP) invests in RD&E to enhance the productivity, sustainability and competitiveness of the livestock export industry and to support an industry culture of continuous innovation, improvement and growth.

Animal Welfare

LiveCorp and the LEP are strongly committed to the health and wellbeing of animals and the welfare of Australian livestock are of the utmost importance. LiveCorp anticipates over 40% of our total budget will be invested in animal welfare programs.

Supply Chain

LiveCorp represents exporter interests to key stakeholders and work closely with the Australian Government (DAFF) in the Industry Government Working and Implementation Groups (IGIG) to provide technical advice and support for the development and enhancement of supply chain processes and efficiencies.

Market Access

The LEP’s Industry Capability Program works closely with government and industry to maintain the conditions for access to current markets and to develop opportunities to open new markets.

Shipboard Stockperson Training Course

Shipboard accredited stockpersons play an important role in caring for livestock and are responsible for the management of the health, welfare and physical needs of Australian livestock exported by sea during loading, voyage and discharge.

The Australian Livestock Export Industry

LiveCorp works closely with industry stakeholders to continuously improve performance in animal health and welfare, supply chain efficiency and market access through the provision of technical services and research, development and extension (RD&E).
