Goat Statistics

In 2017, Australia’s export of live goats totalled 13,694 and was valued at A$ 2.8 million FOB. This was a 55% decline from the number of goats exported in 2016.
Malaysia was the largest market for goats taking 10,436 head, accounting for 76% of exported goats. Our second largest market was the United Arab Emirates, taking 1,221 head (9% of goat exports), followed by Nepal, taking 1,121 head (8%).
