In 2017, Australia’s export of live goats totalled 13,694 and was valued at A$ 2.8 million FOB. This was a 75% significant decline on the number of goats exported in 2016.
The largest importing markets of Australian live goats were:
- Malaysia taking 10,436 head (33.1% of all live goat exports);
- The United Arab Emirates, taking 1,221 head (8.9% of all live goat exports); and
- Nepal taking 1,121 head (8.2% of all live goat exports).
