LIVEXchange 2015

The Australian livestock export industry hosts a biennial LIVEXchange Conference to discuss, debate and network on key issues confronting the Australian live trade’s future.

The 2015 LIVEXchange Conference was held in Darwin on 25 and 26 November with the theme of People, Perspectives and Relationships. The 2015 LIVEXchange Conference was a joint venture between the Australian Livestock Export Corporation (LiveCorp) and the Australian Livestock Exporters Council (ALEC) in association with the Northern Territory Livestock Exporters Association (NTLEA).

Keynote speakers included animal welfare specialist Dr Temple Grandin; Director General of the World Organisation for Animal Health and Welfare (OIE) Dr Bernard Vallat; and global meat expert Iain Mars.

The main Conference was preceded by an industry Producer Forum covering topics such as market access, in-market activities, RD&E and regulatory requirements of ASEL and ESCAS.
