OH&S Policy

Livecorp is committed to maintaining a safe work environment complying with N.S.W. State OH&S legislation and promoting safe systems of work. Livecorp will achieve a safe working environment through consultation with our employees, Risk Management Committee and relevant stakeholders and the adoption of a risk management approach for identifying, assessing, controlling and reviewing risks as an integral part of our business. LiveCorp’s commitment to Occupational Health and Safety will be achieved by activities which are detailed in our Occupational Health and Safety Program and include:
 
  • Occupational Health and Safety training and education
  • Safe workplace design and the development of safe standard operating procedures
  • The provision of OHS equipment, services and facilities
  • Risk identification, assessment and control
  • Workplace investigation and evaluation
  • The reporting and recording of incidents, accidents, injuries and illnesses
  • Provision of information to employees, contractors and subcontractors
  • Provision of safe premises, safe machinery and safe substances.
 
Directors’ Responsibilities
The Directors of Livecorp must provide active and ongoing support of our OHS program. OHS activities will be reported to the Board. The Directors will ensure adequate resources are made available to ensure Livecorp comply with their obligations to this Policy.
 
Managers’ Responsibilities
Managers play a key role in the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Policy and provide leadership to all employees by driving and endorsing Occupational Health and Safety programs. Management will provide all employees with information, instruction, training and supervision necessary to enable them to perform their work in a manner that is safe. Managers are directly responsible for Occupational Health and Safety within the areas under their control.
 
Employees’ Responsibilities
All Livecorp employees are required to actively cooperate with the Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Programs to ensure their own health and safety and the health and safety of others at work. Employees must ensure that they work safely, do not put others at risk, use and maintain equipment properly and ensure that their work area is free from hazards.
 
Employees will participate in the implementation of safe work procedures and participate in the Occupational Health and Safety Program activities.
 
Contractors’ and Subcontractors’ Responsibilities
All contractors and subcontractors engaged to perform work on Livecorp premises or as part of Livecorp need to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Procedures and Programs of Livecorp. Failure to comply or observe a direction will be considered a breach of contract and will be sufficient grounds for termination of the contract.
 
Consultation
Livecorp will achieve the objectives of the Occupational Health and Safety Policy through consultation with all employees at management meetings Board reporting and one to one discussions. Communication, cooperation and involvement of managers, employees and contractors is seen as critical to the success of preventing workplace injuries and illness.
 

Review
Livecorp will review this Policy annually, to ensure that it continues to reflect legislative requirements and organisational needs for continuous improvement. A safe work environment for all can be achieved through:
 
  • The implementation of our Risk Management Procedure.
  • Risk identification and assessment.
  • Control of risks
